There’s still at least one more year before the SAIT Trojans’ Hockey, Basketball, and Volleyball teams can once again play on campus.
The Campus Centre redevelopment project began in 2020 and is set to be completed in 2025.
As of March 7th, 2024, the old Campus Centre is completely demolished.
“Teams are used to it, we’ve had some good luck with the venues, between WinSport, Rally Point, U-of-C (University of Calgary),” said Patrick Gauvreau, Team Lead for the Wellness Centre, Student Activities, Athletics and Recreation. Gauvreau also believes that the Construction of the new Campus Centre should begin fairly soon.
