After a brief deep freeze took over Calgary last week, temperatures are already on the rise.
“Some places are clear and have been salted, but others not so much,” said one SAIT student, remarking how inconsistent ground conditions were.
The slushy and icy ground is making it hazardous to walk on campus, and appropriate footwear with a good grip is recommended.
One SAIT instructor said that he saw a large number of students slipping on their commute between buildings, and more often than not, it was due to improper footwear.
