Curling over the past five centuries has been an ever evolving sport. But for the past couple years many of the curling community believe it has hit a stand still in growth. Especially in the younger generation.
Some clubs like the Calgary Curling Club host events for all ages to come in and play the game and meet new people. The current generation like Rob Quesnel who started curling 6 years ago after a hockey injury forced him to stop, hope to see more and more people start to curl. quensel said “I would love nothing more than to get more people into this game, importunately it seems to be a dying sport especially in this city.”
The curlers at Calgary Curling Club had nothing but positive words to say about new people joining the sport and said they would be happy to help anyone along the way.
