A case of measles has been confirmed in the Calgary zone.
Alberta Health Services (AHS) has issued a public alert and released a list of dates and locations visited by the infected individual.
People who were at the following locations during these times may have been exposed:

AHS says anyone at high risk (those born in or after 1970 who have had fewer than two doses of the measles vaccine) is “strongly encouraged” to check their immunization records.
If symptoms develop, individuals should stay home and call Health Link at 811 before visiting health-care facilities or providers, including family doctors or pharmacies.
Measles symptoms may include:
- Fever (38.3 C or higher)
- Cough, runny nose and/or red eyes
- Rash appearing three to seven days after fever begins, starting on the face and spreading downward
- On lighter skin: red and blotchy
- On darker skin: may appear purple, darker than surrounding skin, or be harder to see
As of Tuesday, Alberta has reported 77 confirmed measles cases.
41 cases are in the central zone, and four are in the Calgary zone. Provincial data shows 70 of the cases are in individuals aged 18 or younger.
The most recent immunization data, from April 5, shows 30 of the confirmed cases were in unimmunized people. Five had received only one dose of the two-dose measles vaccine. The province told CTV news that 35 of the confirmed cases were at that time, meaning 100 per cent of those cases were not fully vaccinated.
